Tjhoko Inspiration – Lizl Griffiths

“I recently moved into my new house.  My open-plan kitchen/lounge/dining area looked very dark as I have dark Mahogany cabinets in the kitchen and dark brown leather couches with a dark Mahogany TV cabinet and lamp table in the lounge.

During lock-down I decided it was time for a make-over. I wanted to give my open-plan living area a softer look by using neutral colours to create the illusion of light and space.

This was my first furniture painting project, and I felt a bit nervous and overwhelmed. Tjhoko Paint is such an amazing product to work with and preparation is a breeze as no sanding or priming is required. I found the perfect combination of Tjhoko Paint colours to compliment the rest of my home and decor.

 

I painted my dining table & chairs, TV cabinet, lamp table and an old wooden window frame I converted into an antique mirror using Tjhoko Paint.

I’m in love with my old furniture all over again. Mission accomplished; not only did the new lick of paint on my old furniture give it a lighter/softer and modern look but it definitely made the open-plan area look more spacious.
